Birmingham, AL - - (Newsbox) July 30, 2008 - - Spartan Energy Group, an Alabama based industrial services firm specializing in asset protection and management, recently accompanied a contingency of personnel to the capital city of Guatemala. By teaming with RIO Systems, Spartan Energy Group has positioned itself as a leader in support of Central America’s infrastructure upgrades.
VP of Operations for Spartan, Brannon Lamb said: “As our country and the countries that make up the Meso-American group become increasingly aware of the call to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, industry and institutions throughout the region will be under increasing pressure to provide safe, reliable and greenhouse friendly sources of electrical energy production as well as quality of life initiatives.”
During the trip to Guatemala, Spartan along with a contingency from RIO Systems met with CONRED (Guatemalas version of FEMA), the President of FUNDAGUAM (a humanitarian organization), the newly elected Secretary of Immigration Affairs, and the Vice President of Guatemala. The group also participated in a special Catholic mass, led by the Cardinal of Guatemala City - Cardinal Toruno, to bless the Meso-American infrastructure upgrade program.
Mr. Lamb said the meso-americas are on the verge of a never before seen infrastructure upgrade that will result in literally thousands of jobs, better hospitals and schools as well as communications upgrades allowing world-class coordination of distaster relief. Mr Lamb stated: “Spartan understands the unique challenges facing central america and we are poised to assist is providing short and long-term solutions for future meso-american prosperity ”
Mr. Lamb stressed that while an upgrade of this magnitude isn't going to be easy, it will succeed.
